PadsTracker Update: Steve Mason… Again.
Well if there is one goalie in the NHL that keeps us busy updating the PadsTracker, it’s Steve Mason of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Steve debuted his 6th new set of the season tonight in 3-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild, stopping 34 of 35 shots faced. Mason is sporting the new Vaughn V5 7800 leg pads, catcher and blocker. The pads are white based, with red, navy and silver accents. His set features a slightly modified custom version of the new V5 7800 graphic, with none of the normal graphic elements running across the middle of top of the pad. The knee rolls also appear to be flattened in appearance as opposed to the normal rounded knee rolls on the stock pad. Overall a very solid looking setup, which Mason has had no shortage of this year!
