LIVE SCOUTING: The Goalie Guild and founder Justin Goldman is dedicated to making many Live Scouting services available on a daily basis. Located just outside of Denver, Colorado, Goldman tracks attends numerous NHL, NCAA, CHL, AAA, Junior and high-level youth hockey games in order to scout, evaluate, discover and track goaltenders.
As a writer for NHL.com, the owner of GoaliePost.com, and an analyst for many radio stations in Colorado, Goldman is available to appear on radio shows, podcasts, live chats, or any other hockey-related program at any time. He can also provide scouting services in a live, on-the-spot setting.
TRYOUTS & PRACTICES: Goldman is available to attend youth, AAA, Junior-A and B, semi-pro, minor league and any pro league tryouts in order to scout and evaluate goaltenders. By providing the coaching staff with in-depth written reports on individual goalies at each tryout session, he helps you make accurate decisions on who to keep and who to cut. This includes junior-level placement camps, or even when drafting your fantasy hockey team.
The Goalie Guild can also provide you with audio (.mp3 or .wav) recaps that include Goldman’s thoughts on the goaltenders participating in a tryout session. We will describe in clear and concise detail the strengths and weaknesses that we observe of each goaltender. We will answer any questions you or your coaching staff might have on the goaltenders attending a tryout session in an in-depth manner.
GAMES & TOURNEYS: The Goalie Guild is available to attend games and tournaments at all levels in order to scout and evaluate goaltenders. We can provide written charts, audio recaps and hold post-game discussions or meetings in order to discuss the goalie’s strengths, weaknesses and recommended areas of improvement. RADIO SHOWS: Goldman is available on a daily basis to appear on your radio show, podcast, website live chat, or any other broadcasting medium in order to provide analysis, scouting insights and information on goaltenders. With a degree in Technical Journalism and Broadcasting from Colorado State University, Goldman makes a terrific guest and analyst for your listeners. He has been covering the Colorado Avalanche on KBPI 106.7 FM and Mile High Sports Radio since the end of the NHL Lockout in 2005.
PRIVATE LESSONS: The Goalie Guild is available to attend private lessons in order to scout goaltenders. We can also create what we classify as a scouting session. A scouting session is a service in which we arrange a private lesson for a goaltender with one of our certified goalie coaches, then use that lesson to scout the goaltender. During that time, we will evaluate the goalie by running them through a variety of challenging drills.
